A whole new website, updated resources, more free things! 9.2.06

Thanks to the generous support of Shelter, there have been some exciting developments which we can now proudly share with you.

Shelter became interested in work relating to Section 8 and the successful drugs and housing work that we have been promoting. They decided to research and produce a report on the subject and we were kindly invited to participate. As part of the agreed package, Shelter provided financial support to enable key drugs and housing resources to be reviewed and revised. So as part of this we went back over the Sample Drugs Policy and other widely used documents.

All these revised documents are now posted in the RESOURCES section and are available for download now.

Even more excitingly, we agreed that there should be a dedicated Drugs and Housing website, and so have set one up. It's at www.drugsandhousing.co.uk

The idea is that by having a tidy, well structured, smaller website, people only interested in drugs and housing will have their needs better serviced here. This website will continue to be maintained; material on the Drugs and housing website will also be cross-posted here.

But the drugs and housing website will have one extra element - a discussion forum on drugs and housing. This is for all the many professionals who want to discuss issues relating to this essential subject. There's been a lot of interest in it already, and so we hope that it goes well. If it does, maybe there'll be a new forum at this site too.

So if your are interested in Drugs and Housing - take a look at the new site. It will look very familiar: despite numerous opinions to the contrary we stuck to the grey and orange look and so the whole site is clearly part of the KFx stable.

We would like to stress our sincere thanks to Shelter. After three years of this site's existence, they are the first organisation to help fund development work outside of buying training. By doing so, they've massively supported the work and we hope other organisations feel able to further support us by future grants or donations.
